21. navadna nedelja

Reče jim: »Kaj pa vi pravite, kdo sem?« Spregovoril je Simon Peter in rekel: »Ti si Kristus, Sin živega Boga.« Jezus mu je odgovoril: »Blagor ti, Simon, Jonov sin, zakaj meso in kri ti nista tega razodela, ampak moj Oče, ki je v nebesih. Pa tudi jaz tebi povem: Ti si Peter (Skala) in na to skalo bom sezidal svojo Cerkev in peklenska vrata je ne bodo premagala. (Mt 16,15-18)

Da sagte er zu ihnen: Ihr aber, für wen haltet ihr mich? Simon Petrus antwortete: Du bist der Messias, der Sohn des lebendigen Gottes! Jesus sagte zu ihm: Selig bist du, Simon Barjona; denn nicht Fleisch und Blut haben dir das offenbart, sondern mein Vater im Himmel. Ich aber sage dir: Du bist Petrus und auf diesen Felsen werde ich meine Kirche bauen und die Mächte der Unterwelt werden sie nicht überwältigen. (Mt 16,15-18)

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter,2 and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades3 will not overcome it. (Mt 16,15-18)
