Svečnica

Razodeto mu je bilo od Svetega Duha, da ne bo videl smrti, dokler ne bo videl Gospodovega Maziljenca. In po navdihnjenju je prišel v tempelj. Ko so starši prinesli dete Jezusa, da bi zanj storili po običaju postave, ga je tudi on vzel v naročje, zahvalil Boga in rekel: »Zdaj odpuščaš, Gospod, po svoji besedi svojega služabnika v miru; zakaj moje oči so videle tvoje zveličanje, ki si ga pripravil pred obličjem vseh narodov: luč v razsvetljenje poganov in slavo Izraela, tvojega ljudstva.« (Lk 2,26-32)

Jetzt wurde er vom Geist in den Tempel geführt; und als die Eltern Jesus hereinbrachten, um zu erfüllen, was nach dem Gesetz üblich war, nahm Simeon das Kind in seine Arme und pries Gott mit den Worten: Nun lässt du, Herr, deinen Knecht, wie du gesagt hast, in Frieden scheiden. Denn meine Augen haben das Heil gesehen, das du vor allen Völkern bereitet hast, ein Licht, das die Heiden erleuchtet, und Herrlichkeit für dein Volk Israel. (Lk 2,26-32)

It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all people, a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel. (Lk 2,26-32)

Blagor ubogim v duhu, zakaj njih je nebeško kraljestvo. Blagor krotkim, zakaj ti bodo deželo posedli. Blagor žalostnim, zakaj ti bodo potolaženi. Blagor lačnim in žejnim pravice, zakaj ti bodo nasičeni. Blagor usmiljenim, zakaj ti bodo usmiljenje dosegli. Blagor čistim v srcu, zakaj ti bodo Boga gledali. Blagor miroljubnim, zakaj ti bodo božji otroci. Blagor njim, ki so zaradi pravice preganjani, zakaj njih je nebeško kraljestvo. Blagor vam, kadar vas bodo zaradi mene zasramovali in preganjali in vse hudo zoper vas lažnivo govorili. (Mt 5,3-11)

Selig, die arm sind vor Gott; denn ihnen gehört das Himmelreich. Selig die Trauernden; denn sie werden getröstet werden. Selig, die keine Gewalt anwenden; denn sie werden das Land erben. Selig, die hungern und dürsten nach der Gerechtigkeit; denn sie werden satt werden. Selig die Barmherzigen; denn sie werden Erbarmen finden. Selig, die ein reines Herz haben; denn sie werden Gott schauen. Selig, die Frieden stiften; denn sie werden Söhne Gottes genannt werden. Selig, die um der Gerechtigkeit willen verfolgt werden; denn ihnen gehört das Himmelreich. Selig seid ihr, wenn ihr um meinetwillen beschimpft und verfolgt und auf alle mögliche Weise verleumdet werdet. (Mt 5,3-11)
